LFPF Preservation Awards 2024

lfpfawards2024

The Lake Forest Preservation Foundation celebrated excellence in stewardship at its 2024 Annual Preservation Awards Presentation. Each year, the Foundation honors homeowners, professionals, and organizations whose projects safeguard Lake Forest’s architectural and landscaped heritage.

Any structure or landscape more than fifty years old may be nominated—by owners, neighbors, friends, or even admiring passersby. Award recipients receive handsome bronze plaques at the Foundation’s Annual Meeting, followed by a reception at a historic Lake Forest property that exemplifies thoughtful preservation.

Awards are presented across five categories—Preservation, Rehabilitation, Restoration, Reconstruction, and New Construction or Infill—using criteria grounded in the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. Together, these projects reflect a shared commitment to protecting Lake Forest’s historic visual character for generations to come.
